The Kansas Oral History Project held its Annual Meeting on November 8, 2025 at the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library. During the business meeting the Board elected a new President, Sue Peterson of Manhattan, and Vice-president, Kathleen Holt, of Cimmaron. In addition, two new members were elected to fill unexpired terms on the KOHP Board, Don Hineman who farms near Dighton, KS and Michael Smith, a Political Science professor at Emporia State University.
The prior President, Ramon Powers, is one of the founding members of the KOHP Board of Directors and was first elected President in 2020. Powers was re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors. Other Directors re-elected to three-year terms are, Mary Galligan, Jim McLean, and Matt Veatch.
At the Annual Meeting, the Board presented a compilation of clips from the recently completed collection focusing on education in Kansas. The keynote presentation at the meeting was by Mark Tallman who conducted those interviews. The video of those portions of the meeting is here.
